Finally...

Sorry folks, for the super long delay in updates. For a while I really found no meaning in blogging, maybe coz im bored of just typing out abt my daily life. You know, where you realised you dont really have much to talk abt anymore. But anyway... kevin has been bugging me for an update, so finally I decided to give an update today since I'm slightly more free and not that tired.

Worked had been piling up, my major event is happening this coming thurs and fri, and therefore, alot of arrangements and last minute things to do. But it has been rather stressful, especially when things are not going your way or how it shld be going as compared to past years. We only confirmed our GOH on Thursday and we still lack special guest speaker and a couple of slots. It's really crazy to have such last minute notices and arrangements. I seriously hope the event will turn out well eventually. But as a first major event for me.. it can be rather demoralising to see things not gng as smoothly as it shld be. Or at least we do not need such pressure and stress level over such things at this stage. But oh well.. the show must still go on, and this week it'll really be a "give it ya all" week. I'm glad to have gotten help from the temp staff, if not I think I would have died doing everthing on my own. I'm glad my Manager has been patient with me as well, and that she is really one cool lady... no sign of stress from her.
Actually, did quite alot of things over the week.. maybe coz of the time, I dont think I can possibly update on everything. But here are some highlights of the 2 weeks...

Last week, I met up with Janelle, Jon, Charms, Jason, Oaky, Gerard and Alvina. It was nice to see them again, this time as working people. The topics we talked about were slightly different, how's work, pay good or not... etc etc etc. I'm glad to have met them, seeing them did bring back memories of Melbourne. We all MISS melbourne so much. Janelle came back for a short break, I believe she's back to Melbourne for work now. Lucky girl, she cont working for her australian company, and they are paying her well. It'll be good exposure and experience.

I attended Hao's bday party too at grand copthorne waterfront hotel. As usual, there was loads of booze, and the bday boy and his best buds (aka J5) got really drunk. It was rather hilarious, but not so too... coz bday boy got a bit too violent and vulgar. I think he scared his gf off.. hehe. Anyway, we made so much noise, the security guard and management came up. They literally stood outside the room and waited for everyone to get out of the hotel room. Ha.. rather hilarious. We headed to zouk... and that's it for the night. Apparantly, bday boy was so drunk... he went home that very night. Those who intended to stay in the hotel ended up gng home too. Fun night though...

Fast forwarding to Friday... we went zouk again, this time for the juice dj quest. Jared, kevin, Hao, Jenson and myself went earlier, Janice and cheryl joined in later. The highlight of the night was actually Jenson getting drunk and making a fool of himself. I think he had too many drinks, and he really was damm funny when we were playing games. Hehhe.... he tried to do the british accent while playing ROCK.

Another highlight would be my trip to Golden Cinema yesterday. That place is not Golden Village.. i repeat... NOT GOLDEN VILLAGE. The cinema is called Golden and is located next to Golden Mile Complex. Dear Kevin... landed us there.. thanks to his Yahoo auction stupidity. He wanted to purchase movie tickets online, and chanced upon this show "Bad Boy" (korean movie) and it was selling cheap. $10 for 2 tickets. The title had Golden on it and our dear friend thought it was Golden Village so he happily purchased it. Next thing he know... when he saw the tickets, it wasn't Golden Village, it didnt even look like golden village. Finally, his stupidity kicked in.. and he realised it was another cinema and he wasn't even sure where the hell it was. He told me this.. and I was..."what!!" how on earth can you be so dumb?!?!" . Anyway..the ticket was due for yesterday and so we headed there. Dodgy place....... and really old school. Those who have been to Eng Wah Clementi, it's older than that. The chairs are like...cushion printed and worst still.. they played 1960s songs while waiting for the show to start. It's like in an old man's nightclub (you know ... the lup sup bar kind) hehehe hilarious I must add and the people in there... i could count with my fingers. One man sitting infront... one man on the left aisles.. another bottom left.. a couple at the back and us. That's it in the cinema. I think another hilarious thing is the lady at the ticket booth asking me for my IC. hahaha.... I dunno whether to feel happy or angry over that. But anyway.. it was indeed an experience.

Apart from that.. the other highlight was to be driven in a MINI COOPER (RED). Yep... kevin drove it and I sat in it. Hehhee

Alright... I think that's abt it.... might post some pics up later....Not sure when my next update will be... but till then.. take care folks!

My weekend.

It was a busy weekend, loads of food and lack of sleep. Shall list down in pt form what I did...

Friday: After Istana, met up with Kevin and Kelvin for dinner at Plaza Sing. Kelvin wanted to eat soft shell crab, and so Kevin and I headed to the sushi place to wait for Kelvin (who was obviously super late... as usual). Kelvin arrived and of coz we had the soft shell crab and many others. After, we headed to zouk. The night started slow, not many people, at least most were there just for the Fashion show first. The night progressively became better. Met a few friends there, namely Cheryl (she was sitting behind us all the while and we didn't even notice her) and Felice. Kelvin was obviously hoping to know these girls... ahahah. He asked, "Does she have a boyfriend?" More so, Kelvin met his ex poly sch mate, and said she was the belle of the class. He wanted to try his luck with her, like dancing with her.. drinking etc. Kelvin wanted to know if she's attached and was asking how to ask her. He said, "I can't just go up and ask are you attached, it's too obvious." So I said, "You can ask where's your boyfriend?" Then he tried it on me, "So Sharon, where's your boyfriend?" hahaha.. so funny.. it was like he's practising his moves. Then kevin said, "ahyah, i'll just go up and ask for you la." In the end, nothin happened. No one asked, no one confirmed. Left the place at 2am. Said our byes to kelvin.

Sat:
Woke up earlier coz kevin wanted to go to IE Singapore for the walk in interview. I went gym to kill time while waiting for him. But guess what, the interview didnt happen at all. People were there since 10am and were still waiting for their turn, what more for him when he strolled in at 2pm. So he left his CV with the HR personnel and came over to the gym to wait for me. After my gym, we went for late lunch, then went back home for me to rest first then headed to chomp chomp for dinner. Met up with darryl and jared. Food was not bad as usual, but a bit ex. Had dessert after at BROWN Box. But before that, bumped into Charms... ehhehe.... she was in this Icecream parlour with loads of neon lights, signalled her friend to get her attention. So after we left seragooon gdns, charms called and told me renee was there too! Suddenly the whole world was in s gardens. Went home.

Sunday:
Went for my 1.5 mass, had lunch with family to celebrate my mum's bday. Mum dreaded it coz it reminded her that she's hitting the big 50 soon. We headed to westlake for lunch. Food is good, had the KBB, fried noodles, rojaks, sze chuan soup, song her (dialect for a kind of fish), durian pudding and red bean pancake. Well... thought it would be good to give her a bday cake, so we tried to find awfully chocolate. Kevin insisted it was around Coronation plaza and not serene centre, but I remember that his aunt mentioned something abt serene centre. And so after investigating, awfully chocolate was actually next to serene centre. We headed there, and the shop looks GOOD AND CLEAN! a really different cake shop for sure. Bought the chocolate banana cake. Oooo.. how sinful. Oh well... after, headed room to rest for awhile, and then sent Kevin bac to the EAST.

Long weekend indeed. Im so tired now... doesn't help that it's raining and the office is so cold.

Anyway.. a lil IQ test for you guys.... enjoy!

Wat a week!

Indeed it has been. Not only the days passed faster but with the recent events that happened from last week to this week both away and in Singapore.... this week was rather exciting. More so... Kevin was scheduled (or at least to my impression) to come back on the 16th 1 am, but nope, he arrived 14th, 1am. A slight change of fate and I was actually suppose to pick him up if I received the card he emailed me. But our dear friend sent it in USA timing, so... I got it so late... he was back already.

I got a sms from him. He told me to meet his friend to collect a bag from her which was his. And I thought, wah liao.. so leychey.. of all days a weekday, how to carry it home. So I went downstairs to find "her", waited at the taxi stand, she wasn't there, and so.. he sms me again and said "she'll" meet me at the lobby. So I walked to the lobby, and there kevin was standing by the railing. I was ... "WHEN DID YOU COME BACK?" and yep.. so that's when I knew he flew off on Wednesday night. If I had gotten the card, I would have known, but nope.. no card.. so don't know. and so.... kevin is back in SG for good. I'm shocked, still am... but it's nice to see him again. It just felt like I just saw him not too long ago... that's how time flew by so fast.

And so.... what a week it has been. London Bomb Blast just after they won to host the Olympics 2012 and the recent NKF issue of it's CEO and his big fat PAY CHEQUE! And just announced yesterday by the Minister of Health, the NKF CEO and the Board of Governors resigned and he will set up an interim committee and appoint the new CEO. Good move on the TT and the BOG. Well.. with the big fat pay cheque... he doesn't have to worry abt having no $$.

To think I donated $48 to NKF for its recent Cancer Fund.

Oh well.

Okie..... my weekend shld be quite packed too. Later in the afternoon, I'm heading to the Istana for my company event. Later in the evening.. meeting kevin and another friend, might head to zouk. Tomorrow, gym (hopefully) then just dinner. Sunday, church, mother's bday lunch, then rest at home.

I dont wish to think about Monday onwards, coz I'll be super duper busy for my August event.

Argh,...

My weekend. 8th and 9th July 2005

I had a pretty good weekend. Friday, met up with Jared, Yilin, Marcus, Janice and some peeps who just came back from Australia for holiday, namely, Hao, Joe and Jeremy. It was a good night of drinking games taking pics (courtesy of janice's cam). Managed to do a small pictorial of that night...

I particularly like the marcus and jared couple shot. Hahha.... they were doin a aka kevin pose. If you notice kevin loves to take pics not looking at the camera, so ya.... that shot was a honour for him. hahah...

For 9th July, I attended my colleague's wedding. It was an amazing night, very well-planned and entertaining. Most imptly, my colleagues and I were taking photos of each other.. hhaha.. the dress code for the night was Chinois Chic so.. i decided to dress as an indian, but unfortunately I dont look too indianish. But anyway.. one of my colleague did a pictorial of the night. I'm the one in blue.

This is a better close up of what I wore....

I like to think it's modern Indian look. Hhaha... oh well.. i had fun nevertheless.

Tat's abt the pics I have.... hope to show u more soon!

If only...

When things are looking slightly better and when I thought something positive has finally taken place, a little thing can just make everything go away.

I dont understand why I shld even bother... but I guess....i feel i have the right too and if arguable that's still not right... i still feelll the least u can do...is accomodate. But nope.

If only things were not like this... if only things were different in the past. If only I never had the life I'm having now or had then.

Honestly, why shld i bother... really. Why shld i be held a prisoner and refuse to even find the guts to break free.

Simple thing.... a simple thing can really mean so much.

I look ard me.. and im jealous. I really am.... why am i not like them or have what they have? What did I do to be dealing what I am going through now? Why in the first place... shld i even be going through this?

What did i do!??!!?!???!

Lack of Sleep.... tired....
Ye... it's all the late nights I've been having. Everyday except yesterday I've been gng home fairly late, 10ish - 11ishp pm.
  • Monday - Sponsor's Training
  • Tuesday - SIF Visitor's programme: Dinner
  • Wednesday - RCIA
  • Thursday - REST
  • Friday - Selwyn's farewell dinner
  • Saturday - Michelle's bday party
  • Sunday - RCIA Rites of Acceptance
  • Kevin's relatives lunch cum tea
Wah liao..... what a week. Oh well. At least half of them is fun and light-hearted. Plus thankfully I dont have the visitors programme to worry abt, since the lady had been so nice and more imptly she knows s'pore so well and have s'porean friends... she practically doesnt need my help and my company! hahah! The only time i accompanied her was the first day of the visitors programme and this morning when I sent her to the airport. But she's been nice, extended invitation to me to visit her when I do go to Philippines for holiday, she'll house me. Actually, I really wouldn't mind gng to Philippines and have a look, sounds like a nice touristy places. There's high mountains, hot springs, shopping, food.. etc. Plus it's cheap.. hmmm.. idea...
Anyway, I'm stuck in the office now waiting for some people to come for a meeting. Have to open the door for them, because my area is securely locked and you need an access card to move ard. Argh... but oh well.. i needed to kill time... since the farewell thing is at 8pm. We're meeting at this place nicknamed Little Bali, apparantly it's one of those ulu drinkign places which looks like Bali. Hahah.. shld be quite cool. Will see if its a good chill out place, if yes, will recommend to others.
Went to Little India this afternoon to accompany my colleagues coz one of them is collecting her Sari. We're attending a colleague's wedding next Saturday and the dress code is Chinois Chic (translates to Chinese or Indian or both) Ye.. most of my colleagues are dressing in Indian style, only a couple will go in their Cheong Sums. I'm still deciding what to wear... but Indian looks like a potential choice. Walked around Tekka Market to see what stuff do they have. Lots of lovely punjabi suits, the indian dresses, mid driffs.. etcs. Saw one Turqoise Chiffon dress... apparantly it's a designer piece and it's the only piece.. selling at $165.00. Quite ex. Saw a yellow phoncho dress, $170. Heh... ex too! I think i need to head down to Lil india again next week and spend a good few hrs searching for the nicest, most appropriate and yet still can use anywhere else outfit. If not.. come worst to worst... buy a cheong sum top lor. But I should dress something different for a change, besides, I was told by my colleagues that I shld invest in some ethnic clothings since SIF events always have the ethnic theme. So ye... up next... sarong kebaya, thai skirt, cheong sum... and the other Asian outfits. Heh.. more reasons to shop. Hopefully I can find a nice outfit for the wedding, will post pics next week to show u the final product.
Shld be quite fun shopping ard for ethnic clothings.
ha!
okie..... 15 more mins and im outta here!
Good evening everyone!
