Updates!

Okie... what happened since my last blog...

THURS:

My anniversary with kevin. Let's see... it's 3 yrs 8 months together. Since we got together till now, each 14th of the month we will celebrate our anniversary. I know most couples don't celebrate faithfully their monthly anniversary, but I guess for us it's a day for us to hmmm... be much nicer to each other (hahaha nah...) more of just to constantly remind ourselves of each other. It's also a day for us to look forward too; we get to go to a slightly fancy restaurant or head to somewhere to sightsee. For this month, kevin thought of the place to go and I thought of the place to eat. Day time we went to the Melbourne Zoo. It's a surprise frm kevin. Unfortunately the zoo had not many animals, that is they have only one or two of each animal on display. These animals must be really lonely. Nevertheless the walk round the zoo was nice. The weather was unpredictable at times (cold/hot) but all went well.

Dinner was at Docklands, this new development for melbourne. Think One Fullerton in Singapore, docklands is a similar concept, just that it includes realy nice apartments. We had turkish food at this place called Mecca Bah. It was really crowded for a Thursday night. We had to wait 45 mins for a table (they dont take reservations). The food was nice and unique, had lamb cous cous and pumpkin pizza (turkish style). The ambience felt good, and the decorations of the place was just impressive. I really wanted to try some of their desserts but kevin and i were just too full, and we were rushing home to watch the apprentice 2.

The rest of the night was just spent watching the apprentice and the DVD of thirteen gng on thirty.

Friday:

Nothing much happened this day. Went school to study for my test and some research for my other 2 assignments. Waited for kevin to finish work as well. Evening we headed to watch charmaine's play. I was kinda expecting a musical similar to the last yr's play charmaine was in. But the concept was more abstract. The students acted out four different piece of paintings, enacting stories based on the paintings. I must say the link and storyline for each painting was quite good. I did enjoy it, however, i thought charmaine shld deserve a more solid role and a talking role. I think she has the capabilities too. I hoped the lecturer or director was not biased against an asian student. Anyway.. that's just wat i thought. Anyway.. this play of hers is an assessed project which is 100% of her total marks. Pressure.. and i aint sure how they are too access this.

After the play.. went back to caufield lib to study. But midway through all these.. my stomach didnt feel all too good. I felt really bloated and just didnt feel all that well. Went home in the end.

Sat:

Again.. nothing much happened, except was studying for the test and watching abit of the caufield cup (horse racing). Í think this spring carnival thing is really cool... everyone dressed up for it.. all the ladies in pretty frocks and lovely spring hats. Men in suits and looking all suave and confident. The races were quite exciting... i think if i betted on some races.. it'll make it even more interesting. This is just an introductory stage for the actual spring carnival (melbourne cup day). It's going to be even bigger during the 4 cup races. I hope i can go for one of it.... at least i've soaked myself into melbourne culture.

Went chadstone later in the evening to buy some groceries, so badly wanted to cook dinner tonight after all the take aways and junk food i had this week. We bought marinated chicken and baked it. Bought some chicken breast to cook soup as well, bought some cheap sushi as well. It was quite a good dinner. Later on i'll be baking some pudding. hehehe... kitchen therapy really works.

Right now... i'll hit back to my books and hope something hits into my head... and preferabally start work on my other assignments as well.

More updates tom... and more pics to put up frm mel zoo soon.
