T.G.I.F (THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!)
hmm.... really thank god ah? I havent post my 2 entries yet.. how to be happy its a friday!! To think i use to look forward to fridays. Anyway... I wil post my entries after this blog entry. Again, I am in caufield library, coz kevin has another trial at the Unicafe. I really think he will get the job, who would train someone how to make coffee, sandwiches, etc and not hire him? But anyway.. he is a good worker... so hopefully they like his face. Ha!
I have decided to go for kevin's multicultural night thing. Hope it will be fun.... (i seriously doubt it). Plus, the OSS Club (Overseas Student Services) is like an indian club, majority of them are indians. And I really HATE the President of the Club, her name is PINKY. hehehehe wat a name.. anyway... yesterday I went to soak myself at their multicultural week activities, and she's so rude!!! Kept telling people to sit down... not in a nice manner too. She'll walk up to you and just say... we're having a talk now, sit down if not please leave. I mean... RELAX LA! She thinks she's someone great and fantastic????? oh please! MUISS is so much better... much much better.
Anyway.... there was a health talk and I attended it. Learnt quite a bit. Here are a few things:
- Do not drink too much coffee during exam periods, it will slow your brain functions and when it comes to the day of exams, your mind will go blank. If you must have a hot drink, you can drink Camomile tea or peppermint tea. Milo is good as well, no side effects.
- Do not rely on energy drink such as Red Bull or V. They contain high levels of Caffine, which will also slow your brain down when during exams, and you will break into cold sweat.
- It will be good to move ard after every 20 mins when you are staring at the com for the whole day. This will rest your eyes and rest your body. Also stretch yourself to ease any backaches or neckaches.
- Keep drinking water if you want to stay alert, being thirsty indicates your brain lacks water and is dehydrated. It will slow the brain down as well.
- For those who have problems sleeping, try this. Prepare yourself to sleep. Take some time to prepare yourself to sleep. Such as 1. no tv before sleep, 2. no eating before sleep, 3 wear pyjamas earlier, 4. relax, 5 then sleep... you will gradually fall asleep. If you tellyourself that it's 11pm and I must sleep... you will only find yourself struggling to sleep, coz your body is not tune to sleep yet.
- Buy a swiss ball/fit/medicine ball to help improve your posture. Try sitting on the ball instead of a chair. The ball will force you to sit upright, because you will go off balance if you slouch.
Yeah... just a few tips. The school has a massage centre too... so i think i'll go a full body massage, its only $30 for 1 hour or $20 for 30 mins. That's rather cheap :) I really need a good massage and stretch!
Yeah.. my friend is coming down. getting my mum to pass him mooncakes for me. !! yeah!! Now must plan itinery for him, and also to see who's free to bring him ard. The boys might go mt buller next sat to see snow... there's a cheap day trip up to mt. buller- $30 only. I wish i could go, but I got that SAM soccer thing, and an assignment due.
Okie..... think i better start on my entries....
till tomorrow!
