tom is my last day of school for semester one! Damn fast man! I managed to finish reading all the required chapters for my test tom, but honestly barely half of what i've read is in my small brain. It's so difficult to concentrate becoz its just too cold outside! It 'sounds' so cold... looks like winter is HERE! sigh........

Im still sick.. but feeling a bit betterl. I've been downing myself with loads of water.. bottle after bottle. I feel like a walking water barrel. Ha!

Got to start preparing for exams already, everyone seems to be starting their revision, except me. Ha! slacker as usual! I'll start soon.... i promise!

Talked to my mother yesterday, and she told me a sad story of this secondary one boy from my bro's school who passed away just last week. It was one of those school days where this boy had to stay back for ECA (NPCC), but he went home for awhile coz he had a tummy ache (he stayed near the school, walking distance). When he was home, the teacher in charge called and told the mum if the boy could go back to school again, but if he really cannot leave home then its okay. But the boy decided to go back to school, but obviously he was rushing so he decided to take the bus to school. He alighted and decided to cross the road from the front of the bus. But as he was crossing the road, a lorry came and knock him down. He had no external injuries, but according to my mum his leg was bent in a way that his knee was on his head. The boy suffered from internal bleeding, and when the ambulence came, they couldn't revive him and he dies on site.

The school principal rushed to the scene, so did the teacher-in-charge. They contacted the boy's mother (whom he met not too long ago), and she didn't believe them. Last week was the funeral, and the whole school was there to pay their last respects. The mother blamed the teacher for her son's death, the teacher blamed herself as well.

This boy has not reached 13 years of age.

This is indeed a tragic story. This boy is so young, with a definate bright future ahead of him, and in such a turn of events, passed away just like that. I could experience what the mother had felt when she heard the news. I could imagine how the teacher reacted.

Moral of this story: Treasure your lives, you have this one life only. Shit happens.. better be safe than sorry. People... when crossing the road, please ensure no cars are around, this kind of thing... don't play.

May God bless this boy who is living happily in Heaven now, and protect the family grieving that they will have the strength to continue in their lives and that their love for their son will forever be remembered.
